This can be done through the development of geospatial readiness and competitiveness through collaboration, co-creation, providing access to innovational funding and skills development of the sector.
Janusha is a GIS Practitioner and the Owner of Wanscan Consulting a Geospatial and Data Services company that celebrates 20 years of delivering services of data excellence. Her motto ‘ a picture speaks a thousand words ‘ drives her passion to grow the Geospatial industry to take a step forward and take it’s place in providing information solutions for a better society and a better world for all.
Janusha’s contribution thus aims to assist the space sector help and drive solutions that are relevant, beneficial and smart. She is currently the National Chair of the Geospatial Society of South Africa and has already starting the journey of industry collaboration.
Janusha’s exposure to the public and private sector allows the vision to bring all that are affected by the space sector solutions together. She has won nominations in National and International solutions for Integrated Geospatial Data Solutions, including categories like Development Plans and Smart Cities.
Davis is the CEO at RIIS. He focuses on helping organisations and industries transform their innovation culture, behaviour and capabilities, and enabling them to remain relevant in a rapidly modernising and uncertain future. He has a diverse range of industry experience across the areas of strategy development, innovation, and risk management. He has also held high level and management positions in a range of organisations including KPMG, ERM, and the Gauteng Provincial Government. Further to his
role at ZASPACE, Davis is also an Non-Executive Director at Anza Capital (an early stage African-focused VC fund), and the SA Innovation Summit. He holds several undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in
science, business and social studies.
Lesetja creates market access to/from Africa, for engineering & technology teams eg. Timely technologies applied to seemingly timeless problems i.e. science communication & national system of innovation alliances. He has 20 years’ experience (albeit 10 in aerospace , 3 in ICT, 5 in media/broadcasting and 2 in ICT4Ag. Most recently he’s had the distinguished honour to be appointed as the BRICS MWG Deputy Chair, to host the 2023 BRICS Summit (incl. Manufacturing Forum, Investment Showcase, SEIFSA Manufacturing Excellence Award and SEZ tours) in Johannesburg. He guides teams to #LetsContinueToBuildAfrica, using decentralized innovation as an STI diplomat, seeking socio-economic impact via trade. “Au courant zeitgeist” of emergence: exposure, experience and innovative collaboration to extract 1st Principles as a dynamic delta to Zeroth thinking principles. Ventures serviced, drive towards Community-Private-Public-Partnership frameworks, encompassing Masterplans. He’s a keen industry observer and SMME enabler, for where cause/effect can be intercepted with technology. Build successful multidisciplinary business teams, by understanding and implementing systems that “grasp dreams into reality” in the Global South, starting with Manoeuvering Thought. He has grit and demonstrates a knack for leadership that has resulted in tangible operational team proficiency, character, motivation, export investments and increased KPI achievements.
